3. What do you think is more important for a child to have: to be considerate or to be well-behaved?

Political Science, like Sociology, and Psychology are “suspect sciences” in the minds of those who consider as valid only what can be perceived and proved in the physical sciences. Still these disciplines use the tools of physical science, such as statistics to test their hypotheses. The American Psychological Association has a division in Humanistic Psychology whose aim is to keep this approach to human existence alive here in the US. This scientific versus humanistic controversy goes back to the thinking of philosophers in Continental Europe, some of whom were around in the first half of the 20th century when Nazism reached its height.
This post bring to light the rise of something that has been labeled authoritarianism. This is not just an American condition. It can be found in voters in democratic elections worldwide. And it may or may not be a problem, depending on your political views. The four questions above were to try and determine how much of a role hierarchy, order, and conformity play in the winning or losing of democratic elections.
People like to blame -isms, like Communism, Fascism, Nazism, etc. on specific persons who have risen to power riding the wave of popular political assent during their time. Nazism did not die when Hitler died; it is still alive along with antisemitism. Communism did not die with the collapse of the Soviet Union; it is still alive in North Korea, China, and in other nations.
Now, wearing American garb, is the rise of authoritarianism, fueled by media propaganda and exploited by Donald Trump. This is my take on what I have linked to. I would recommend the link be read in its entirety and not just scanned. This will take time. So much of what we are handed in the media is just fill-in until the next ad. This has some thought behind it.
