BBC News: Supreme Court to hear transgender school bathroom case

Yes. This is the American way. The highest court in the land must decide for a bipolar, fractured society who you can marry and where you can go to the toilet. Who we ARE does not match our birth bodies for those of us who are transgender. And intersex people get a double whammy since you CAN ONLY BE either a boy or a girl in America

I saw this on the BBC News App and thought you should see it:

BBC News: The taboo of Kenya’s intersex children

Intersex kids in Kenya born without a clearly male or female gender identity are being left out of social participation and are in need of a third gender assignment. Rather than forcing them to “fit” into a male or female category through surgery (now condemned by the UN under human rights international law), providing a third gender classification is a humane way of enabling them to participate in Kenyan society.

I saw this on the BBC News App and thought you should see it:

BBC News: Bob Dylan’s Nobel silence ‘impolite and arrogant’

My! Bob Dylan has sure aged! We have all aged since those days of Vietnam War protest, all night vigils, and freeway closures. “The Times They Are a’Changin” still makes me tear up at times.

Music lyrics ARE literature! Getting together and singing all together helped a lot of us get through those times when the US was going through a lot of changes. And like good literature those songs are still worth singing in these latter days of sexual and gender liberation.

I saw this on the BBC News App and thought you should see it:

Bob Dylan’s Nobel silence ‘impolite and arrogant’_92052892_mediaitem92052891.jpgBob Dylan’s failure to acknowledge his Nobel Prize in literature is “impolite and arrogant”, according to a member of the body that awards it.

Jailing teen blogger in Singapore sends wrong message on free expression–UN expert

Sometimes the line between free expression and hate speech can be hard to see. Certain governments may see things differently than what their citizens and residents may consider appropriate and protected under human rights law.

In this situation the UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of opinion and expression criticized the Singapore Government for jailing a 17-year-old young man for six weeks for his Facebook and blog posts. Such a draconian punishment for publishing comments that may be offensive and disturbing to some only results in self-censorship and the stifling of pluralistic expression.

BBC News: Trump courts the terminally ill vote

What an appropriate post for my blog!!!

I found out yesterday that I have cancer. Chances are I will be around on November 8, also. Yet I hope and play that the sum total of my legacy on earth is much more than voting for Donald.

Donald must be having fun running for President. Americans want to stay young, be attractive and…keep death in a deep closet. If you don’t talk about it, then maybe it will go away. Fat chance.

Humor is a good distraction when facing challenges in life. Donald definitely doesn’t leave any stones unturned. Some may say this is “sick” humor. When it comes to voting, even the dying have value, it seems.

I saw this on the BBC News App and thought you should see it:

Trump courts the terminally ill votep04b33d4.jpg“I don’t care how sick you are”, vote, says Donald Trump, attempting to boost Republican turnout in his own unique way.

BBC News: US election 2016: Trump ‘a genius’ if he paid no taxes – aides

Trump is NOT a genius, but he has some super tax advisers who he paid a lot of $$$$$ to to avoid paying taxes. That is all part of the real estate game heavily favored by the tax code. I really hope the American Public is not so naive as to think he pays taxes like working people.

Show your tax returns, Donald. Let’s see if you followed Judge Learned Hand’s cardinal rule:

The American taxpayer is OBLIGATED to pay ONLY the tax that the Tax Code mandates you pay. (Words to that effect.)

Have you been a GOOD American in this respect, Donald? I am sure you have. But the people you are grooming to vote for you may have other ideas. These are the ones who blindly look to you as their Leader (Früher) who will make their dreary, suffering lives better.

Our ancestors came here for new lives. Now some of their descendants say they will flee if you get elected, Donald. What will happen then?

Wait, see, and…

I saw this on the BBC News App and thought you should see it:

US election 2016: Trump ‘a genius’ if he paid no taxes – aides_91492894_trump_index.jpgDonald Trump’s aides says he is a “genius” if a report is true that he paid no federal income taxes for 18 years after losing nearly $1bn.
